On February 16th, the crew of the HMCS Toronto invited Fusion Halifax members for an exclusive tour onboard their multi- patrol frigate based in the port of Halifax.

After a quick, albeit full, continental breakfast and briefing from the ship’s captain, our guide lead us through the maze of metal to the ship’s communications room, bridge, helicopter bay area, sleeping quarters and deck. We chatted with members from the ship’s crew of 225, about their roles and responsibilities to the ship’s overall operation and life aboard a ship.

Two hours, and a warm bowl of tomato soup later, our tour had reached its end point. We thanked the officers and crew for their hospitality and returned to dry land.
