Please note: nominations for the 2011 GO awards began in June and are now closed. The short list of nominees will be announced in mid-September.

Basic Criteria

Nominee Age

• Award nominees must be between the ages of 20-40 by December 31, 2011.  Proof of age may be requested.
• The nominees for the Urban Design Award and Metropolitan Award can be any age.

Nomination Details

• Awards are for individuals.
• The Urban Design Award nominees may be a developer, company or individual person.
• Nominees can be nominated in more than one category.
• Nominees must live in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
• Nominees must approve and accept the nomination once they are nominated.
• Awards can be self-nominated and/or nominated by a community group, friend, peer, etc.
• Nominees must attend the GO Awards on October 1, 2011 to accept the award or appoint a proxy to attend on their behalf.
• Two references must be provided with all nominations. The nominator cannot be a reference. Reference checks will be completed by email.

The selection committee is comprised of:

• Chair of FUSION
• Past Chair of FUSION
• Sponsor Representative (different for each award)
• FUSION Board Director of Specific Award
• Presenting Sponsor Representative

The committee will consider all nominations equally based on the information provided in the nomination forms. The committee will make all efforts to avoid conflicts of interest in the judging process.
