MCAD’s vision is simply to share the culture of joy of African dance to everyone, regardless if they have dance experience or not. It is a wonderful way to get a new sense of movement and exposure to a rare types of dance and music. Not only are the MCAD camps a great chance to move your body but campers also get the chance to work with traditional musical instruments. We allow the opportunity for campers to learn to use a Marimba (xylophone), jembe (drum), Mariba (xylophone), and mbira (thumb piano). Perfect for music enthusiasts as well. These instruments also compliment the engaging drum sessions.
