FUSION Halifax members have been specially invited to novaKnowledge’s Spark Awards Reception and Debate at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic on Wednesday, December 3 from 4:30-6:30pm. The event will honour individuals who have transformed our province – so FUSION offers congratulations to Chris Power, Bill Lahey, Robert Orr, Stephen Tobin, Dan Christmas and Danny Graham (who spoke at FUSION’s launch in 2007 at the same venue!). FUSION is proud to support the Canadian Centre of Ethics in Public Affairs (CCEPA) in their discussion series on education. The first event is taking place at Saint Mary’s University (Scotiabank Theatre, Sobey Building) on Thursday, December 11 at 7:00pm with guest speaker Paul Cappon, President and CEO of the Canadian Council on Learning. Admission is free.

Each holiday season, JCI Halifax partners with the Boys and Girls Club of East Dartmouth and Spryfield to help children purchase a gift for their caregivers or loved one. The money to purchase the gifts is raised from fundraisers and donations.
FUSION is helping out this year too by gathering volunteers on Saturday, December 13th. Your task? Help the kids pick out and purchase their gifts…and then get ‘em wrapped!
