As Chair of FUSION Halifax, I am inviting the Leader of the Green Party of Canada, Liberal Party of Canada, New Democratic Party of Canada and Conservative Party of Canada to address FUSION Halifax members and entertain a Q&A session at a time and place of their choosing in Halifax. FUSION Halifax is committed to providing opportunities for our members to become informed and engaged citizens and we will do our best to accommodate each of the Leaders schedules when they visit Halifax.
FUSION Halifax has been engaging the 20-40 demographic and shaping the future of our great city since 2007. Today we have over 2400 members, many of whom are rolling up their sleeves and actively participating in projects that are making a positive impact on our city. Our vision is that we will “create the most vibrant city in Canada”. We bring together people in all sectors of our community to inspire active citizenship, create dynamic networks, develop new friendships and generate great ideas.
One of our priorities is: Civic Engagement – Democratic Involvement – Being knowledgeable about government policy and direction at all levels is the first step in actively engaging in the issues that impact our city and region.
With this priority in mind, we think Q&A sessions with each of the Leaders during the election campaign would be a great way to inform and engage our members.
