What is the burning issue, your passion? What keeps you up at night? Civic engagement
What do you love about living in Halifax/being an East Coaster? Halifax has a character unlike any other city I’ve visited. I love the convenience of living in a city, but being moments from a hiking trail or waterfront bike path. Everything about Halifax feels in balance.
What is your most memorable Halifax experience? In the very early Spring of 2009. I was walking down Barrington Street, and got my first “whiff” of the salty ocean air.
Why is it great to be young in Halifax? Halifax isn’t a city that’s trying to impersonate another city. I think the same can be said for the people that live here. It’s laid back and honest.
What would you change about Halifax? The Bedford Waterfront and public transit.
What is your favorite restaurant/pub? Rogues Roost, Milano’s (I’m still mourning for the loss – best plate of spaghetti I’ve ever had in my life), Tom’s Little Havana.
What is your favorite meeting spot? The Fireside
What would you tell a new young person moving to Halifax? Spend time at Point Pleasant Park.
