About your HALIFAX

Why do you live in Halifax now?
I love living in Halifax.  After having lived a few other places, I can confirm that it is the best place to live in the world.  Halifax is a great place to raise a family.

What do you love about living in Halifax/being an East Coaster?
I love the people in Halifax.  They are friendly and open.  They will stop for you if you want to cross the street.  Halifax is a great place to work, and it’s affordable to buy a house here.

Why is it great to be young in Halifax?
Halifax is on the cusp of realizing its potential as a great city.  There are lots of other like-minded people who want to make Halifax the best possible place to be.

What would you change about Halifax?
I would like it if employers were a little bit more open-minded about hiring people of diverse backgrounds and with credentials from outside of Canada.

What is your favorite restaurant/pub?
I love the Press Gang.

What is your favorite meeting spot?
Cows Ice Cream on the waterfront.

What would you tell a new young person moving to Halifax?
Halifax is a great place to live, work, play and stay.  It’s big enough to have great restaurants and theatre, but small enough to feel safe and like you can make a difference.
