What is the burning issue, your passion? What keeps you up at night? My kids. Both being my passion and what keeps me up at night. I’m also always looking to develop my business and grow professionally. I love being a business owner and Halifax is a great place to do business in.
Why do you live in Halifax now?My wife opened my eyes to the city. I now call it home. I see so much potential in this place and look forward to being a part of its growth and evolution.
What do you love about living in Halifax/being an East Coaster? It’s cheesy, but the sea. You can’t beat living on the ocean. I also get so excited about how much is going on here. The number of unique and dynamic businesses that are based in the city is astounding. It is also very impressive to see what they’ve involved with. This is truly an international city.
What is your most memorable Halifax experience?I know it is a touchy subject, but the bid for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. I was helping promote Halifax on the other side of the world and saw what the city could be, and where it could go.
Why is it great to be young in Halifax? There is a young, vibrant energy here that needs to be showcased and promoted. Young people and young families are the future of this city. Take charge now.
What would you change about Halifax? The attitude around ‘it can’t be done that way’. Anything can be done any way.
What is your favorite restaurant/pub?I’ll always have a soft spot for the Economy Shoe Shop. It was the place my wife and I went to a lot when we first moved here.
