Describe yourself in one word
: passionate
What is the burning issue, your passion? What keeps you up at night?
Civic engagement and community capacity building are what I really care about.  I care about a lot of things but we need leaders to pursue progress on multiple fronts.

I am a mother to a 15 month old- so now the stakes are really high in being part of progress.  I want to help build a better future for him and I want him to know his mommy rolled up her sleeves and got involved to see that change.

About your HALIFAX

Why do you live in Halifax now?
Love brought me here, but potential keeps me here. Halifax is a city that is growing and it is the perfect size to be one of the most vibrant and connected cities in Canada.  I want to help realize that potential.

What do you love about living in Halifax/being an East Coaster?

The people and the pace.

What is your most memorable Halifax experience?
The birth of my son and the FUSION Halifax Launch.

Why is it great to be young in Halifax?
Because leaders are accessible and you can be ‘at the table’. Also, because you can walk down the street and see familiar faces.  It’s a wildly connected place.

What would you change about Halifax?

The downtown core needs a facelift.  We also could take a page from Ottawa’s book on green space.

What is your favorite meeting spot?
The Hub or the Carleton!
